Sherry is Founder & CEO Women on the Crossroads, a motivational website for women an Sherry Dixon Consultancy, a Marketing and PR company. Sherry is a Motivational/Transformational Lifeskills Coach and Speaker. She evolved from Magazine Editor to being one of the most sought after women Empowerment Speakers in the UK.
Sherry Dixon is highly respected in the ethnic community in Britain and developed a following of dedicated followers from her editorial and radio show interviews with celebrities such as Dr. Maya Angelou, Nelson Mandela, Iyanla Vanzant, Barry White, Luther Vandross, Pam Grier, Jasmine Guy, Nia Long, Cedella Marley, Whitney Houston, Alice Walker and many more. As an acclaimed journalist, Sherry has written for many publications including The Guardian, Sunday Observer, The Times, The Voice, and has done numerous television and radio shows for BBC Worldwide helping to dispel the myths surrounding confidence and assertiveness issues.
It is her thirst for mentoring within her community that has been recognised and applauded. In December 2014 Sherry was commended by The Mayor of London acknowledging her inspiring work with women in her community. The Mayor acknowledged her with a Certificate of Appreciation at the London Peace Awards. Her quick wit, brilliant sense of humour and warmth make her a very popular woman which has won her many awards including ALIVE Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award 2013, Most Progressive Women Award 2013 and was nominated to the Steven Lawrence Award in 2013.
